After the Antiques scored in the 2nd, the Pirates scored in the 3rd and 4th, then twice in the 7th to take a 4-1 lead. After the Antiques tied the game with 3 in the 8th, the Pirates scored 2 in the top of the 9th cashing in on a batch of Antique errors. The lead as short-lived as the Antiques scored 3 in the bottom of the 9th to gain the win.
Rich Battiato doubled to drive in 2 runs in the 8th, and Robin South had two singles to pace the Antiques. Julian Lopez was the winning pitcher following up on solid work by Brown and Scott.
Currie held the Antiques at Bay for 7 innings, yielding only one run. With the game tied after 8, Bushnell yielded 3 in the 9th and took the loss. Currie also had 2 hits for the Pirates.
