The Antiques and Yankees traded the lead through the first 2 1/2 innings. The Antiques scored two in the top of the first. The Yankees came back to take the lead by scoring 3 in the bottom. The Antiques countered with 2 in the top of the second to take a 4-3 lead. The Yankees scored two again to regain the lead. The Antiques scored 3 in the third and two in the fourth to move to a 9-5 advantage.
The Yankees made it close in the seventh by scoring 3. With the tying run on third, the Antiques turned a 5-4-3 double play to kill the rally. The Antiques put up an insurance run in the 8th and went into the ninth with a slim 10-8 lead. A 7-run ninth meant that the final score did not indicate how close the game really was.
Denny Brown got the win giving up 5 runs in 5 innings. Bobby Scott finished, allowing 3 runs in 4 innings.
Danny Moore stroked 5 hits to lead the Antiques attack. Jim Gardner, Rich Battiato, and Denny Brown each had 3 hits.
