48+ Ports 6, 48+ Antiques 5
Alphonse Derouaux pitched 5 innings of hitless ball in the first of two exciting games, however, 6 walks and some untimely fielding saw him leave the game trailing 4-1 after 5 1/3. Derouaux yielded only 2 hits including before leaving.
The Ports entered the bottom half of the 7th trailing 5-2. Bill Bonekat lead off the 7th with a walk and Frank Carroll hit into a fielders choice. Mike Hayden then ripped a double scoring one. After a walk to Steve Starratt to load the bases, Alphonse Derouaux douled in 2 runs. Phillip Bland walked followed by a walk to Mario Lavagnino with the bases loaded to tie the game. Bill Bay then hit what appeared to be a double play ball but beat the play at first as the Ports came back to win 6-5.
